Work Concept :
Inspired by the little mermaid in Andersen's Fairy Tales where she is willing to give up her life in the sea as a mermaid to gain a human soul and a human’s love. With the mermaid’s selfless and unconditional love for the prince even though it was not acknowledged, Derek wishes to convey a message to the audience that everyone of us should treat others with utmost sincerity and not based on gains and losses.
