Our story began over 100 years ago

With the first Shiseido Hair Salon introducing manicures, facials, and the latest beauty trends to Japanese women from abroad. The foundation of trust we laid then has allowed us to create even more products, services and initiatives dedicated to the skill and passion of Beauty Creators all across Asia.

  • 2011

    Launched PRIMIENCE, and THE HAIR CARE, the premium products infused with advanced technology. 

  • 2010

    Beauty Innovator magazine was launched to inspire Asian beauty creators with the latest trends. 

  • 1986

    Shiseido Academy of Beauty and Fashion (SABFA) for professionals opened and gave students the opportunity to showcase their creativity on the world stage. 

  • 1959

    The Shiseido Beauty Academy is established to train the next generation of beauty experts. 

  • 1956

    Shiseido Beauty Salon, which is said to be the largest beauty institute in Southeast Asia, opened in Shibuya. 

  • 1922

    The Shiseido hair salon introduced Japanese women to manicures, facials, and the latest Shiseido hairstyles.
